Yuriy Derkach
Campus Ministry Chaplain
Yuriy is an ecumenical chaplain of Algonquin College Campus Ministry and have served Algonquin College also in the roles of coordinator of Spiritual Centre, spiritual counsellor with Student Support Services and part-time professor. Yuriy is also a piano composer and founder of the creative forum “Create to Inspire Souls” for young artists. Yuriy comes from Eastern Christian tradition background, but also has studied Western Christian traditions and is continuously learning to unify Orthodox, Catholic and Protestant traditions and with the help of the Holy Spirit strive to bring people together so that in one voice, in one heart, in one mind and one spirit to unite and to serve one God, one Creator, one Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.
